What the E-YUVA Centre means

BIRAC's E-YUVA scheme is about empowering youth to undertake value-added, innovative translational research. As an E-YUVA Centre, CURAJ hosts funded fellows, awards research grants and mentors teams toward products and ventures.

Apply via BIRAC

Undergraduate students in Life Sciences

5 team slots (2026 call)

E-YUVA Fellowship

Who can apply: Undergraduate students in Life Sciences, applying as a team of 3–5 with a mentor. 1st and 2nd-year students are encouraged to apply.

₹7,500 quarterly stipend per student (₹2,500/month equivalent)
Up to ₹2.5 lakh annual research grant per team
Up to 25 fellows per centre (up to 5 teams × 5 students)
12-month fellowship

PG, PhD & post-doctoral researchers

3 seats (2026 call)

Innovation Fellowship

Who can apply: Completed a Master's in life sciences (apply within 3 years of completion) or a PhD (within 2 years). Women are exempt from these time limits. Fellows work full-time at the centre; current PG/PhD students are not eligible.

₹50,000/month for PhD / post-doctoral fellows
₹30,000/month for PG fellows
Research grant of ₹3–5 lakh per year
18-month fellowship · 3 fellows at a time
